Susan Gale


Alix Martínez is a Galician multidisciplinary artist & Visual Design Lead based in London. She combines her artistic practice with her role as Visual Design Lead / Service Design Lead at Fjord where she leads successful teams and designs products and services.

She graduated in Fine Arts in 2001 (specialised in Graphic Design and Media Communication) by the Salamanca University in Spain. Since then she has been developing her education and career in different countries such as Spain, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Denmark and currently the UK.

As part of her continuous development, Alix completed two MAs: Web Design in 2003 at SPD Scuola Politecnica di Design (Milan) and Computational Arts (Distinction grade) in 2017 at Goldsmiths University (London) whilst as a full-time employee.

Alix is a light enthusiast, loves traveling, reading and kickboxing.

She started her career as a designer back in 2001. Since then she has worked in different fields like Publishing, Graphic Design, Digital Agencies, Digital Marketing, Gaming, Digital Consultancy… focused on Visual Language and User Experience.

Curious by nature, she creates experiences with the aim to improve people’s lives and make a measurable impact. Over the last 20 years, she had the opportunity to develop an understanding of design and our connected world, exploring its languages, cultures, and methodologies. She worked with clients from diverse nationalities: Australia, Austria, Canada, South Africa, and different European countries.
